Mysuru city will get its country's cleanest city tag for third year in a row
MYSURU: Heritage city Mysuru has been adjudged India's cleanest city under the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan for the third year in a row. The award is given for the city's solid waste management and sanitation strategy, public outreach and other measures.
Mayor Ravikumar told Express that they were informed about the city bagging the award over phone and have been invited to New Delhi to receive the award at a function to be held on May 4.
However, Mysore City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Jagadish said though they have invited to take part in the function, the awards are yet to be officially announced.
