Now you can stream music inside Facebook Messenger
Facebook has finally added Apple Music integration for Messenger that allows you to stream full songs if you are a subscriber. Apple Music is available as a bot and this is a first for the social network's messaging service.
This service comes after the integration of Spotify which allowed you to create group playlists inside chats with the help from Facebook's AI. However, this integration did not allow to stream full songs though. But that has changed now. While the service is mainly for subscribers but if you're not one then you can still stream and share 30-second snippets. However, if you want to sign up for the music streaming service you can do that from within Messenger. All in all, Apple may be using Messenger as a marketing tool as it is also looking to increase its subscriber base as well.
How to Activate the Apple Music Bot?
To get started, simply open up Messenger on your mobile device or the browser, and search for Apple Music by typing tag in the search bar. You can also interact with the bot and add it to an ongoing conversation with your friends and even share songs. The Apple Music bot searches and suggests relevant artist, album, and song names. In addition to reacting to search queries, Facebook has said that sending an emoji to the bot will also prompt it to suggest a new playlist based on the type of emoji sent.
