India achieved a six-wicket victory in the 2nd ODI against New Zealand in Pune on Wednesday to level the three-match series 1-1. Chasing a modest target of 231, India reached home in 46 overs with Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni not out at the crease.

Dinesh Karthik and Shikhar Dhawan scored the only two half-centuries of the match to guide the hosts home with ease. No New Zealand batsman could even reach a half-century with Henry Nicholls being the top-scorer with 42. New Zealand had claimed a six-wicket victory in the 1st ODI in Mumbai on October 22.
