Petrol and diesel prices hit record at high

Petrol and diesel prices are at record high as petrol price is increased by 30 paise to 84.70/litre and diesel is now costing 72.48/litre in Mumbai. The prices of petrol on Monday stood at Rs 79.13 per liter in Chennai, Rs 78.91 per litre in Kolkata and Rs 76.24 per litre in Delhi. 

Diesel price in Bangalore is increased by +0.27 piase to Rs. 69.25 per litre. The price of Diesel in Bengaluru was Rs 66.9 in the last month and the average price of Diesel in the last month was Rs 67.61. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday hit out at the BJP-led central government for the price hike in petrol and diesel, saying it "adversely" affected the livelihood of the common man.

Soon after Karnataka polled to elect a new government, state-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) on Monday ended a 19-day hiatus in revising petrol and diesel prices and reverted to the practice of changing rates on a daily basis, reported PTI.
