Samsung Galaxy J6, could start at Rs 12,990
Amidst the continuous onslaught of midrange Android smartphones from Chinese manufacturers, South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung is readying its revamped range of 2018 Galaxy smartphones for a launch soon. While it’s known that the company will be launching four new smartphones.
With their proprietary Infinity Display, Samsung has taken to the social media to announce the name of one of the four models — the Galaxy J6. However, the prices for the Galaxy J6 have also been leaked, giving us a fair idea of its positioning in the market. Unearthed by Slashleaks, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy J6 in two variants — one with 3GB of RAM and the other sporting 4GB of RAM. The 3GB variant is expected to be priced at Rs 12,990 whereas the 4GB variant will sell for Rs 15,990. The J6 will be made available for sale from May 22. However, no other specifications have been made official.Meanwhile, the Galaxy A6+ has been spotted in an Indian retail box.
Leaked photos via The Mobile Indian by Slashleaks suggest that the A6+ will be Samsung’s premium midrange offering in India and will carry an MRP of Rs 28,000. The A6+ is already available in some markets and is essentially a watered-down version of the more premium Galaxy A8+. The A6+ sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The A6+ is built around a Snapdragon 450 SoC and will be available in 3GB/32GB variant as well as a 4GB/64GB variant. There’s a 16MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear. The smartphone is kept alive by a 3500mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy J6 is rumoured to sport a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an Exynos 7870 chipset along with 3GB/4GB of RAM.
