Temperature soars across Telangana

Hyderabad: The thunderstorm prediction announced by the weather department for Telangana on April 17 did not become a reality as a rise in temperature was recorded across the state. Adilabad and Badrachalam recorded 41 degrees, the highest in Telangana, while Hyderabad stood at 38 degrees. Scant rainfall was recorded in Domakonda mandal of Nizamabad.

Most districts in TS witnessed rise in temperatures, Ramagundam and Mahbubnagar recorded 40 degrees, while Medak, Nizamabad was at 39 degrees. Hyderabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Hanmakonda recorded 38 degrees. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced another thunderstorm warning for April 18 and 19. It said that thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Sanga Reddy, Mahbubn-agar, Gadwal, Warangal, Nalgonda, Khammam and Ranga Reddy districts. In case a storm did not take place, light to moderate rains are very likely to occur at isolated places.
