Sugar slips on subdued demand

Mumbai : Both varieties of sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample supplies.

Small sugar (S-30) eased by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,326/3,490 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,336/3,490.Medium sugar (M-30) also moved down by Rs 8/15 per quintal to Rs 3,422/3,680 against Rs 3,430/3,695, previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,326/3,490 (Rs 3,326/3,490).Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,422/3,680 (Rs 3,430/3,695).
