Groundnut oil slips on subdued demand

Mumbai : Groundnut oil slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also eased owing to sluggish demand from soaps and shippers industries.Refined palmolein recovered marginally due to mild demand from retail buyers.Meanwhile, linseeds oil held stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activities.In the edible segment, groundnut oil slid by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 900 from Tuesday's close Rs 910, but refined palmolein inched up per 10 kg to Rs 643.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,620 as against Rs 4,670 yesterday and castoroil commercial also eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 954 as compared Rs 964, yesterday.Linseeds oil ended unaltered at Rs 950 per 10 kg.
