Small sugar drops on lower demand

Mumbai : Small sugar prices dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

Meanwhile, medium sugar prices ended mixed owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.Small sugar (S-30) prices fell by Rs 18/18 per quintal to Rs 3,702/3,772 from Monday's close at Rs 3,720/3,790.Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,790/3,962 per quintal as against Rs 3,782/3,972 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: 

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,702/3,772 (Rs 3,720/3,790).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,790/3,962 (Rs 3,782/3,972).
