Minor girl set on fire for resisting rape, accused on run

In a horrific incident, a 13-year-old girl was burnt alive for trying to resist rape in Madhya Pradesh's Sustani village on Saturday. It is learnt that the accused was trying to rape the minor on finding her that she was all alone at home. The victim got furious after the victim repeatedly protested against it.

However in order to silence her, the accused burnt her alive by pouring kerosene. The culprit then fled from the spot. The victim was admitted in the district hospital on Saturday night, where the doctors said that 50 percent of her body sustained burn injuries. After a primary treatment, she was referred to Bhopal. According to police, a case has been registered and teams are looking for the accused. A three-member team has been formed to nab the culprit, SDOP Shambhu Singh Ahirwal informed.
