KSGEA clarifies no protest by government employees on May 4

Bengaluru: Once again difference of opinion between various factions of the state government employees' association has come to the fore. Contrary to the announcement made by a section of the association, the Karnataka State Government Employees' Association has clarified that it is not holding any protest or stir on May 4 with regard to the pay hike.

According to association President BP Manjegowda, the association has congratulated Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his assurance of implementing the recommendations of the 7th central pay commission in the budget speech. This will benefit about six lakh state governmentemployees. In fact, the finance department has already approved theproposal and is likely to notify the new commission anytime soon.
