BMTC revises bus fare; minimum price in AC buses down from Rs 15 to Rs 10
BENGALURU: In an attempt to encourage more people to use
public transport and reduce short-change problems, the BMTC on Thursday revised
AC and non AC bus fares.
Minimum charge of ordinary buses will remain unchanged with Rs 5, the second
stage is reduced from Rs 12 to Rs 10. The third stage fare has increased from
Rs 14 to Rs 15, while the fourth stage (Rs 17) and fifth stage (Rs 19) fares
remain the same.
One stage is equal to 2 km. Similarly, the minimum fare of AC buses has reduced
from Rs 15 to Rs 10 (for the first stage).
