Bengaluru to receive showers till Friday
Bengaluru: The unusual spell of intermittent showers in the city is set to continue on Friday too. According to the weathermen at private weather forecaster Skymet, Bengaluru which had remained dry for long witnessed rain on Wednesday and this will continue till Friday. The Bengaluru city observatory of Skymet recorded 0.4 mm of rainfall and the one at HAL Airport observed 2 mm in 24 hours starting from 8.30 am on Wednesday.
Rise in temperature
“The weather systems that resulted in rains are still around. The after-effects of the system will leave a lot of moisture. Furthermore, a slight rise in maximum temperatures is also expected. Due to humidity and heat during afternoon hours, cloud build-up is expected over Bengaluru,” Skymet weathermen said.
Thus, light showers are likely to occur over some parts of Bengaluru during the next 48 hours. As far as weather conditions are concerned, they will remain pleasant throughout the day. Sources from the Indian Meteorological Department, Bengaluru, maintained that Friday will be generally cloudy sky and rain/thundershowers are likely towards evening/night in some areas of the city with maximum and minimum temperatures very likely to be around 29 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
