Ravi Belagere detained for plotting to kill journalist

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) police investigating journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder have detained Hi Bangalore editor Ravi Belagere for allegedly engaging supari killers to eliminate journalist Sunil Heggaravalli.

The SIT police, who arrested two suspects in the Gauri murder case, came to know about it during interrogation.According to sources, Ravi Belagere has engaged supari killers from Vijayapura to kill Sunil Heggaravalli for having and alleged illicit relationship with his second wife. The CCB police have detained Ravi Belagere and are expected to produce him before the court.
